Garavel Subaru Shares the Love with Carver Students - Alicia H
The Carver is grateful to Garavel Subaru for turning a month at the dealership into an opportunity to invest in young people across our community. Throughout July, Garavel Subaru invited its customers to help support Carver through a point-of-sale campaign. At the conclusion of the campaign, Garavel Subaru presented Carver with a generous $1,000 contribution, support that will help Carver continue providing educational, enrichment, and opportunity-building programs for young people in Norwalk and beyond. Carver works in partnership with schools, families, businesses, and community organizations to help students succeed from their earliest school years through high school graduation, college, careers, and adulthood. Today, Carver programs reach thousands of students through after-school and summer learning, college and career preparation, paid internships, enrichment experiences, and other opportunities designed to help young people discover what is possible for their futures. That makes community partners such as Garavel Subaru especially meaningful. Their support represents more than a check. It demonstrates to Carver students that the businesses they see in their own community are invested in them and want to see them succeed. Carver was delighted to join the Garavel Subaru team for the check presentation and to celebrate the conclusion of the July campaign. We are equally excited about where this relationship might lead. Every summer, Garavel Subaru turns the spirit of giving into something truly meaningful through the Subaru Loves to Care campaign. For Connecticut Children's Foundation, that generosity has become a special tradition! One that brings much-needed support to children and families when they need it most. Year after year, Garavel Subaru makes a contribution to Connecticut Children's Foundation, helping provide resources that directly support the health, healing and well-being of children in the area. Their commitment is more than a summer donation; it is a reminder that when a local business chooses to invest in its community, the impact can reach far beyond a single moment. At Connecticut Children's, every child's journey is different. Behind every hospital visit, treatment and recovery is a child who deserves the chance to simply be a kid and a family who deserves support along the way. Partnerships like the one with Garavel Subaru help make that possible. What makes this tradition especially meaningful is its consistency. Garavel Subaru Brings Comfort and Hope to Families at Connecticut Children's Specialty Care Center - Daniela V
Garavel Subaru partnered with Blood Cancer United® (formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) and Connecticut Children's Specialty Care Center in Westport through the Subaru Loves to Care® initiative. On July 9, 2026, Garavel Subaru donated blankets and messages of hope to support cancer patients and their families. Connecticut Children's Specialty Care Center in Westport is incredibly grateful for Garavel Subaru's generous donation of blankets, which will be distributed to patients undergoing cancer treatment. These thoughtful gifts help provide comfort, warmth, and encouragement during a challenging time. Representatives from Garavel Subaru, Blood Cancer United, and Connecticut Children's Specialty Care Center in Westport came together to celebrate this meaningful donation and the impact it will have on local families affected by cancer. The event highlighted the power of community partnership and a shared commitment to supporting patients throughout their cancer journey. A special thank you to the dedicated staff at Connecticut Children's Specialty Care Center in Westport, who go above and beyond every day to care for patients and families facing cancer. We are deeply grateful to Garavel Subaru for their generosity, compassion, and continued commitment to "Loving to Care" for blood cancer patients and their loved ones.
Garavel Subaru and Aspetuck Land Trust - Matthew K
Garavel Subaru has shown the Norwalk community just how dedicated they are to the cause of protecting the environment for countless years. Starting out as a partner of the Norwalk Land Trust in 2024, Garavel has been a major driving force in the mission to protect and steward land throughout the city. As that mission has evolved into a merger with the Aspetuck Land Trust, so too has the relationship with Garavel. This year, we were given the opportunity to come into the office and meet with the staff to introduce ourselves as Norwalk's new land trust. We at Aspetuck are excited to continue the legacy of NLT and were excited to see so much enthusiasm to continue that legacy along with us. On June 11th, team members joined ALT staff and board members at the White Barn Preserve for a clean-up. There, everyone got the chance to learn a little about the history and ecology of the property. While braving the heat, we were able to collect dozens of buckets of trash! On top of the time the team donated, we were incredibly thankful to have received a donation of $3,000. This money is invaluable not only for our stewardship mission, but for citizen engagement as well. 17 years ago, Norwalk Land Trust started the Farm Creek Education Program, meant to expose 4th grade students to nature on our preserves. This year, we were able to bring over 800 students to Farm Creek. With the continued support of Garavel, we hope to further increase that number and bring as many Norwalk students as we can out into our green spaces.

This is one of the most heart warming events to have happened to us. We were called by the Doctor who was caring for the child to thank us and commend Mikey. When Mikey started this charity he wanted to help connect and distract children going through chemotherapy treatment. He never thought he would save a life one day. We supply electronics to children going through harsh chemotherapy treatment, one day not too long ago we got a request from a patient (15 year old male), we will call Tommy for this story. He wanted a tablet to take with him to his treatments to keep his mind occupied. Of course with the help of funds raised by Garavel Subaru, we were able to supply him with a top of the line i-pad tablet. He was thrilled!!! Several months later, Tommy had an appointment with his oncologist. Due to a series of problems at home he could not make the appointment that day. Not feeling well, and realizing he was going to miss an important check up Tommy realized that he could facetime the doctor and thereby keep his appointment and at least be able to physically see the doctor. (and the doctor could see him). Once they connected, it didnt take the doctor long to realize how sick Tommy looked. He instructed the boy to get a cab and come directly to the emergency room where he was successfully treated after a 2 week stay in the hospital. As it turned out, the boy had developed a kidney problem and had the doctor not seen him when he did, the boy could have died. This story does not have a happy ending if not for Garavel Subaru and the Garavel family. Their continued support of our mission has allowed us to gift over 10,000 handheld electronics over the last 15 years. We can not stress enough how critical it is to have the support of such a caring and considerate company. As the sole distributor of all these electronics, I can say with absolute surety that Garavel Subaru and the Garavel family have improved the loves of hundreds of children suffering with cancer. For nearly a decade, Garavel Subaru has been more than a corporate partner to Filling in the Blanks. They have been part of our family. At Filling in the Blanks, our mission is simple: no child should have to wonder where their next meal is coming from. Yet every Friday afternoon, thousands of children in our community face exactly that uncertainty. Today, we provide weekend meals to more than 10,600 children across Fairfield, Westchester, and Putnam Counties, helping ensure that hunger does not stand between a child and their potential. Throughout this journey, Garavel Subaru has stood beside us every step of the way. Their support has helped us provide more than 10,000 meals to local children and families, but what makes this partnership truly special is that it extends far beyond financial contributions. Over the years, Garavel Subaru employees have packed weekend meal bags, volunteered at fundraising and community events, and even delivered meals directly to children and families. They have invested not only resources, but also their time, energy, and hearts into ensuring local children have access to the food they need.Their commitment continues today. Earlier this year, Garavel Subaru selected Filling in the Blanks as its Charity of the Month and raised $1,710 to support our programs. It is not just the donation that makes a difference, but the consistent and thoughtful ways they engage their customers, employees, and community in the fight against childhood hunger. The impact of this partnership can be measured in meals, but it is best understood through the lives it touches. One evening, shortly after cuts to SNAP benefits were announced, our office phone rang. On the other end was a fourth-grade girl calling to ask how she could get food for her family. She was hungry and did not know where else to turn. No child should ever have to make that call. Yet that reality exists in communities all around us. That little girl is why we do this work. And partners like Garavel Subaru are why we can answer those calls. Together, we have helped children head into the weekend with nourishment instead of uncertainty. Together, we have supported families forced to make impossible choices between paying for gas and putting food on the table. Together, we have provided not only meals, but dignity, hope, and the reassurance that their community cares. Over the last 13 years, Filling in the Blanks has delivered more than 6 million weekend meals and expanded services that now provide fresh food to 1,600 families every month through our Fresh Food on the Move Mobile Pantry. As the need continues to grow, trusted partners like Garavel Subaru remain essential to our ability to serve local children and families. The true measure of a community partner is not whether they show up once, but whether they continue to show up year after year. For nearly a decade, Garavel Subaru has done exactly that. In the meantime, they've invited us to several cat & dog adoption events they've held, and we've been spreading the word about Lyme treatment for dogs. We are honored and blessed to know the wonderful staff, and we deeply appreciate their commitment to our community!

Everyone at Open Doors is so thankful for the support that the team at Garavel Subaru provides for our community! Open Doors was selected as their community partner of the month for January. In addition to the generous financial donation, Garavel Subaru also held a clothing drive to provide essential items for our neighbors during this particularly cold winter. New year, new shoes for 132 kids thanks to Garavel Subaru and Operation Warm! - Erin M
The new year is now a little brighter for 132 kids in our community thanks to our incredible neighbors! Garavel Subaru partnered with Operation Warm, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. The team at Garavel Subaru donated sneakers and socks and came to Open Doors to give their time as well, helping families choose the shoes their kids need. It was a great afternoon of celebration, with a friendly welcome, music, food, activities, and more! We are so grateful for being able to help children have a little more joy and confidence thanks to this kindness.
