Garavel Subaru’s Heartfelt Support for Connecticut Children’s - Jack P
For over two years, Garavel Subaru has gone beyond the standard Love Promise campaign, donating over $4,000 to Connecticut Children’s to support pediatric care in Westport, Connecticut and surrounding areas. Their generosity directly helps bring pediatric expertise to our community. In addition to financial support, Garavel Subaru donated 80 soft & cozy blankets to our patients during winter visits—offering comfort and warmth when it matters most & a gift to take home! Garavel Subaru’s partnership means more than donations; it means real, tangible support that helps children heal and families find hope right in their community. Their commitment is a powerful reminder of how one company’s care can make a lasting difference.
Garavel Subaru Supports the Domestic Violence Crisis Center - Suzanne A
To whom it may concern, The Domestic Violence Crisis Center (DVCC) was first selected by Garavel Subaru as a Community Partner in 2020. In the five years since the start of this special relationship, Garavel has generously given DVCC valuable funds that directly support DVCC’s mission to prevent and eliminate domestic violence. This year, the Community Partnership in May between Garavel and DVCC was especially encouraging. We were thrilled to be welcomed so warmly, meet the sales team, and educate them about the issue of domestic violence and the services DVCC provides. We are so grateful for the way the Garavel family is helping us reach individuals and families who might not otherwise know about available services. Garavel is helping us assist clients in building a safer future. These opportunities to spread the word are incredibly valuable to prevention efforts. The more the community knows about domestic violence and how it appears in our communities, the more we can each do our part to prevent it. During the month of our community partnership, DVCC held our annual spring luncheon, Voices of Courage, which is an essential fundraising and education event for the agency. We were so grateful for the way that Garavel extended our reach on social media to promote awareness of this event. Garavel's immense commitment to building community makes them outstanding partners. Garavel is not only giving DVCC resources to support our mission but also playing an active part in preventing domestic violence through their advocacy. Just the other day, a young woman pushed through our office doors in tears, barely able to ask for help. After a caring counselor discussed with her what we could offer, the young woman left encouraged with a plan toward a safer future. Because of support from organizations like Garavel, survivors can not only receive the help they need but also know where to find it. We are so grateful to have Garavel as a special member of our community network and honored to receive their support. Garavel Subaru gives Love and Hope to cancer patients! - Daniela V
Garavel Subaru partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and Connecticut Children's Specialty Care Center through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. The partnership involved delivering blankets, and messages of hope to cancer patients. On June 24, 2025, Garavel Subaru personally delivered these items to patients in treatment. Together we have spread warmth, love, and relief to cancer patients and their families as part of Subaru Loves to Care®. The local staff at Garavel Subaru partnered with local LLS and Connecticut Children's Specialty Care Center staff to visit and pass out blankets to patients fighting cancer. It was a memorable morning of giving back to our community. Many thanks to the devoted staff at Connecticut Children's Specialty Care Center who go above and beyond for all of those affected by blood cancers. Garavel Subaru Teams Up to Support Local Community - Nate R
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Norwalk, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Garavel Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Garavel Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 02/13/2025, Garavel Subaru donated 120 coats to Open Doors-Norwalk, CT. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

On behalf of everyone at MoCA\CT, I want to express how grateful and proud we are to be part of the Garavel Subaru Community Partner of the Month program. As Senior Director of Development and Philanthropy, I’ve seen firsthand how meaningful these partnerships can be—and the alignment between the Garavel Community and MoCA\CT is a perfect example. Together, we support initiatives that directly impact and uplift our local community, especially families and young learners. In my role as Head of Education at MoCA\CT, being the artist and muralist behind the children’s room at Garavel Subaru was an absolute pleasure to design and visualize a space that brings the outside in. I was inspired by the natural beauty and adventurous spirit that Subaru embodies—celebrating the mountains, the sea, and the scenic landscapes of Fairfield County. I aimed to create a playful and calming environment for kids that reflects our region’s forests, wildlife, and coastlines. Through bold, cheerful colors and organic, flowing shapes, my hope was to spark imagination and foster a love of nature in our community’s youngest explorers. This shared commitment to creativity and connection is also at the heart of our museum’s summer camp, Camp MoCA, which offers hands-on, immersive experiences that combine art and nature. With the generous support of the Subaru Community Partner Program, we’re able to expand awareness of this unique cultural offering and ensure that even more families can engage with and benefit from the enriching opportunities Camp MoCA provides. 'Leaf'ing Our Mark: Garavel Subaru's Tree Promise - Alicia H
Happy Subaru Loves the Earth! At Garavel Subaru, we care deeply about our community and are committed to keeping our neighborhoods vibrant and healthy now and for generations to come. Trees are vital to this effort — they provide oxygen, cool our community, filter water, clean the air, prevent flooding, and improve health. But every year, our community loses trees due to age, disease, infestation, and extreme weather. Subaru and retailers like us are proud to partner with the Arbor Day Foundation to help address this problem. This spring as part of our Subaru Loves the Earth initiative, Garavel Subaru provided and distributed 100 mature, regionally appropriate trees that will benefit communities for generations. On Saturday, April 5, Garavel Subaru spent the day giving trees to fellow Subaru customers, employees, and folks in the local community. Customers were thrilled to receive a free tree and plant it in their yard. This year alone, Subaru and its retailers provided and distributed 100,000 trees to communities across the country. Through this new partnership and other initiatives, Subaru and retailers like us have helped distribute and plant over 1.1 million trees so far — and this is just the beginning. Together, we are growing a greener, healthier Norwalk for generations to come.

For several years, Garavel Subaru has been a dedicated partner to Filling in the Blanks, playing a vital role in our mission to fight childhood food insecurity. Their commitment has extended far beyond financial contributions, encompassing hands-on volunteer efforts that directly benefit the children and families we serve. Most recently, Garavel Subaru generously donated $2,500 to support our programs, ensuring that thousands of children across Fairfield, Westchester, and Putnam counties receive nutritious meals on the weekends when school-provided food is unavailable. This funding translates into thousands of weekend meal bags, each filled with fresh, nutritious food, helping to bridge the meal gap for food-insecure children. In addition to their generous financial support, Garavel Subaru employees have consistently rolled up their sleeves to make a tangible impact. This year, a team of passionate Garavel Subaru staff members joined us at our Norwalk warehouse, packing hundreds of meal bags for distribution. Their time and dedication mean that children in our community can focus on learning and growing without the burden of hunger. Garavel Subaru has been more than a donor; they have been an active champion of our mission. Their enthusiasm and dedication have inspired others to get involved, fostering a true community of support. Their long-standing commitment to our cause exemplifies the spirit of the Subaru Love Promise—going beyond business to make a lasting difference in the lives of those in need. In addition to the generous financial donation, Garavel Subaru also held a much-needed toiletry and clothing drive to provide essential items for our neighbors. We are so appreciative of the generosity of Garavel Subaru, and we're looking forward to continuing to help our community thrive together!
It's a Love Match! - Dorrie H
TAILS wants to tell you - shout it from the rooftops, actually - how much Subaru has helped us and how much Garavel Subaru means to us. "Subaru Loves Pets" - it is more than words on a poster or that you hear during a commercial - they really do...LOVE PETS. Stop on by Garavel Subaru in Norwalk and bring your dog along and find out...you will likely bump into other dogs too - and your dog will love all of the attention! And if you hit your visit there just right - like our visit last October - you might bump into TAILS who has been invited by Garavel Subaru to bring ~25-30 adoptable cats/kittens for a day-long visit and adoption event! These are amazingly successful and supportive events - how could they not be? Animal lovers abound! Garavel Subaru generously offers us space inside and outside their spacious dealership for these events and we jointly promote the events to help adopt as many animals as possible. As TAILS' President remarked - she can count on two fingers the number of places who will invite us to bring a large, mobile adoption unit, 30 adoptable cats, lots of volunteers and kid-friendly activity stations - and the other one is a pet store. It is unique to have any large, successful business remember the little guy and we are so, so glad that they do. Garavel Subaru and Subaru of America walk the talk - their support helps the in-the-trenches animal welfare groups - the ones who would not exist without their funding and support. Did we mention Garavel Subaru has donated three vehicles to TAILS over the course of our decade+ partnership AND has generously made us their Charity of the Month countless times - with the latest culminating in a check presentation of $4,300 in November 2024? They're amazing and truly the reason that we are on the cusp of celebrating our 25th anniversary in 2026! Garavel Subaru believed in us when we were in our infancy - when we were struggling to do 75 spay/neuters in a year. We thought that was an amazing feat - but once we were gifted our first vehicle by Garavel - the world became bigger as we could transport animals and supplies to/from where they needed to be. We tipped the scales at 650 spay/neuters and 254 adoptions in 2023....and are continuing to expand and grow with the ongoing support and enthusiasm of Garavel Subaru. Remember - they walk the talk....please go down and thank them for TAILS. Take a walk with them - you won't be disappointed.
